Energy Efficiency Management Plan
The following are the current sources of energy used by Technical Event Solutions to power our company and deliver our services to our clients.
Electricity – Powering workshop, offices, rental stock and other equipment
Petrol – Powering small generators and our Suzuki Swift.
Diesel – Powering our three vans, large truck and workshop heating.
The following ways are how we measure and keep track of our energy use.
Electricity – Electrical Power Consumption from our premises is recorded by our Power Provider.
Electrical Power Usage on our large event installations is recorded by our power distribution units.
Petrol – All petrol fuel acquired by our company is purchased through our McKeown card fuel system which allows to keep track of usage, fuel prices and supplier.
Diesel – All diesel fuel acquired by our company is purchased through our McKeown card fuel system which allows to keep track of usage, fuel prices and supplier.
Reduce Electrical usage within the offices and workshops by encouraging good electrical practices of turning off appliances and lights when not in use.
Reduce Electrical usage of clients for installations and sales by encouraging to use of electrical efficient products such as LED Lighting over traditional incandescent lighting.
Reduce Diesel usage across our vehicle fleet by upgrading our 2008 Mitsubishi L300 to an electrical alternative such as the Nissan NV200 Electric powered van. We consider this a improvement as over 80% of NZ electricity comes from renewable sources.
Improving energy efficiency will be a team effort and everyone that works at Technical Event Solutions will have their own part to play. Small changes make a big difference over time. Our team of company directors (Brett, Alex & James) will be in charge of ensuring our targets are meet and keeping the wider team on track.
